How to update HTC ONE X to jelly beans (CYANOGENMOD 10) Android 4.1
Few months ago the HTC ONE X was released and someweeks ago Jelly beans, Android 4.1, is released. Every Android Company is putting all their effort to provide jelly beans to their high ending devices. HTC confirms that they will give Jelly beans to their HTC ONE series but our developer don't want to wait thats why we brought Cyanogenmod 10 , a custom Rom, for HTC ONE X. The phone is pretty much faster with its stock Ice Cream Sandwich ( Android 4.0 ), but after installing and testing jelly beans ( Cyanogenmod 10 Android 4.1 ) we found it more faster. It was more faster than Cyanogenmod 10 port to Samsung Galaxy S 3.
Here are all the things you need to do get Jelly Beans on your most loved HTC ONE X :
**** make sure to check on settings>>developers option>>USB debuging****
STEP 1 : ROOT
1. On your HTC ONE X, check on settings>>developers option>>USB debuging.
2. Connect your phone tour PC and selecr charge only on your phone.
3. Download and extract " OneXrootOneClick .zip "
4. Download, extract and install HTC ONE X drivers
For 32 bit windows
For 64 bit windows
5. Open the extraxcted folder and open " runme.bat " file.
Your device will be rebooted 3 times and your rooting is done.
STEP 2 : unlock bootloader
You can simply unlock bootloader at htcdev
STEP 3 : Installing ClockWorkMod
1. Download clockworkmod recovery image file
2. Download Fastboot.zip and extract it to C:\
3. Power off HTC ONE X.
4. Now hold down Power key+ volume down Button.
5. Select Fastboot by using power key to select.
6. Connect your phone to PC with usb cable.
7. Now open command prompt on your PC by going to Start>>run , type cm and hit enter.
8. In command prompt type
cd c:\Fastboot
** hit enter **
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.2.4-endeavouru.img
** hit enter **
9. After flashing finishes type " fastboot reboot " in command prompt.
STEP 3 : Installing Jelly beans
1. Download Cyanogenmod 10 and google apps and put both files into sd card/
2. Turn off your phone and hold volume up+volume down+power key until you see white screen.
3. Scroll down to recovery and press power key to select.
4. Then wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition.
5. Go to advanced and select wipe dalvik cache
6. Now select install zip from sd card and select the cm10 rom file.
7. Reboot.
8. It will not boot. Hold power key+volume down until you see white screen.
9. Make sure you have installed android sdk on your pc. Download boot.img and pit into /tools/ of sdk.
10. Open command prompt on your pc.
11. Type " fastboot flash
boot boot.img " and hit enter.
Now enjoy the delicious jelly beans on your HTC ONE X.
